- Have a workplace collection
- Hold a car boot or garage sale
- Clear out all your unwanted items and sell them on eBay
- Arrange a sponsored walkathon
- Set yourself the challenge to run a marathon but get people to sponsor you
- In your place of work, organise a dress-down day or non-uniform day but charge for the privilege
- Put a swear box in the workplace and every time someone swears make them put a previously agreed amount in the swear box
- Rise to the challenge – do something that you know will be a challenge and get people to sponsor you
- Spend a quiet night in and donate the amount you saved by staying in (which would be the amount you normally spend on a night out)
- Arrange a coffee morning
- Get people to sponsor you for trying to break a bad habit. They can sponsor by the hour, day or whatever
- Undertake a sponsored silence
- Arrange a sports event, for example a football match, and shake that collection tin
- Arrange a quiz night and donate the proceeds from it
- Hold a card school and donate all the proceeds
- Arrange for a calendar shoot with friends, family or colleagues and donate the proceeds from the calendars sold
- Donate part of your salary – whatever amount you can afford
- If you belong to any groups or clubs, have a collection and donate the proceeds
- Arrange a board games night and donate any money raised
- Collect all your loose change until you fill a jar and then donate the money
- If you have a talent for making things, use it – sell the goods and donate the money
- If you can provide a service, charge for it and donate the money
